However\, the growth of trained and educated STEM workers from underrepresented communities is about 1%. \nUnfortunately\, today there is a sizable knowledge gap for groups that have been traditionally underrepresented. Specifically African-Americans\, Hispanics and people with disabilities. According to PEW Research Center\, the long-term outlook for diversity in the STEM workforce is closely tied to the representation in the STEM education system. MSK mission is to help close this gap and increase diversity through educational programs.  \nWhat’s special about MSK Summer Enrichment Program: MSK’S Summer Enrichment is a STEAM-C Summer Enrichment Program using Virtual Reality and Gaming as a method to educate and engage students in a fun yet\, interactive way. Our program aims to create awareness and prepare students for future careers in STEAM-C (Science\, Technology\, the Arts\, and Mathematics). \nProceeds from this event will help MSK offer program participation scholarships to at-risk youth and children who are disabled. \nTicket Sales are Final: No Refunds  \nThis is a 21 and over event.
